Description

AeroShell Oil W100 Plus is a new single grade oil that combines the single grade, ashless dispersant performance found in AeroShell Oil W100 and the anti-wear/anti-corrosion additives of AeroShell Oil W15W-50 Multigrade. It is the oil for pilots who prefer a single grade but who also want the extra protection and performance.

Application

The advanced additives in AeroShell Oil W100 Plus provide better rust and wear protection than conventional single grades. The additives work as a protective barrier to prevent critical parts from being slowly degraded by rust or wear, especially when an aircraft sits idle. This protection helps keep the camshaft and lifters coated, reducing the likelihood of premature damage and helping operators reach TBO. ·

Direction to Use

Usage and Application Engine Type: It is designed for use in four-stroke cycle certificated aircraft reciprocating piston engines, including fuel-injected and turbocharged engines. It is suitable for most Lycoming and Continental opposed engines, as well as radial engines in weather conditions where a 100-grade oil (SAE 50) is recommended. Additive Inclusion: The oil already contains an anti-wear additive equivalent to the Lycoming additive LW 16702, which means operators DO NOT need to add this additive separately. Operational Use: This product is an operational oil, not a break-in oil for new engines where a straight mineral oil might be required. It is also not recommended for helicopters with a common engine and transmission oil sump system. Storage and Low Use: For aircraft that have periods of inactivity (several weeks), using AeroShell Oil W100 Plus as the operational oil can take advantage of its anti-corrosion additives. Handling and Safety Consult Documentation: Always refer to the equipment manufacturer’s manuals and the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed guidance on safe handling and use. Personal Protection: Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact and inhaling vapors/mists. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as impervious gloves, when handling the product. Storage: Keep the container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Disposal: Take used lubricant to an authorized collection point. Do not discharge into drains, soil, or water.
