Description

Omega 65 is a ‘premier’ lubricant especially designed for ultra long-term preservation of today’s chains, cables and wire ropes. Omega 65 contains a precise percentage of high-contrast fluorinated polymers in the form of methacrylates. These special supplements provide critical and essential boundary formation that stops creep or squeeze-out. It has an avid affinity for metal. This attraction provides the interfacial tenacity to prevent squeeze-out at even the most critical CDAP (Change Direction Apex Point). It is a wellknown fact that 90% of all manufactured lubricants used on chains, cables and wire ropes squeeze out during the first hours of service!

Application

Omega 65 is known for its ease of use and superior metal affinity, which allows it to stay in place without the need for pre-heating.
  • No Heating Required: Unlike some heavy-duty industrial greases, it can be applied directly at ambient temperatures.
  • Direct Application: It can be applied manually to equipment such as anchor chains, conveyor chains, and crane cables.
  • Deep Penetration: Its fluidity is balanced with high adhesivity, ensuring it reaches hidden core strands rather than just coating the surface.
  • Safety Precautions: Avoid prolonged skin contact. Always remove grease with soap and water rather than organic solvents.

Direction to Use

Surface Preparation: For best results, ensure the chain, cable, or wire rope is clean and dry before application to allow for maximum adhesion and penetration. Application Method: Apply the grease at ambient temperature; no heating is required. Use a brush or other suitable applicator to ensure the lubricant reaches the core strands. Penetration: Allow the grease time to saturate the core of the equipment, as it is formulated to penetrate deep into hidden strands for “self-lubrication” from the inside out. Frequency: You can potentially reduce lubrication intervals by up to 15 times compared to ordinary lubricants due to its high tenacity and resistance to “fling off”.
