Safety First: Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Locate & Prep: Find the leak (a marker helps) and thoroughly clean the damaged area on the muffler or pipe, removing rust and grime. Saturate the Wrap: Knead the sealed pouch of MufflerSeal to ensure the resin saturates the fiberglass wrap inside. Apply: Wrap the entire saturated roll tightly around the leak, overlapping by about an inch to create a double layer. Secure: Use the included aluminum foil tape to hold the wrap in place. Cure with Heat: Run the vehicle’s engine for about 20-30 minutes; the exhaust heat activates the seal. Finish: Once cured (hard to the touch), you can remove the aluminum tape, and the repair is permanent.
